Super Moon Photos May 2012

A few weeks ago we had the occurance of a Super Moon: A supermoon is the coincidence of a full moon or a new moon with the closest approach the Moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, resulting in the largest apparent size of the moon's disk as seen from Earth. (Wikipedia)

Got what I thought were some pretty cool shots May 5th & 6th:

If you look closely you can even make out the shape of the lunar surface on the top edge of the Moon.

Then the wife and I went to Maderia Beach, where I took the following long exposure shots:
